ABOUT

Jas De Guzman is a Chicago-based, non-binary and queer Filipino-Chinese production designer, set dresser, and multidisciplinary creative based in Chicago, IL. They graduated from DePaul University with a BFA in Film & Television.

In 2018, they began working on film sets as a Production Assistant. In 2019, they discovered a passion for production design after the completion of The Mailman. Since then, they've joined productions as part of the art department. They also enjoy working with actors and producing independent short films.

 

In January 2025, they became Director of Acquisitions for the longest running lesbian streaming service, Tello Films.
 

They are often collaborating with Muffy Film Productions as a Production Designer and Set Dresser. With a love for the world-building and visual storytelling of the sci-fi genre, they look forward to collaborating with other filmmakers on sci-fi music videos, shorts, and features.

 

Having worked on productions all over the Midwest, their goal is to travel and work around the world, especially South Korea for K-pop projects.

Outside of film, they're also a 3x Published Cosplayer, 2x Published Fashion & Portrait Model, Dancer, and K-Pop Event Organizer — Co-Founding "All Things K-pop" at Sidetrack: The Video Bar and engaging with the Chicago K-pop community.
